In the late 1960s, trekkers used to make frequent visits to support the Muktinath nuns at this, one of the most important sites in Tibetan Buddhism. I wonder if that is still the case. There are all sorts of ways to spend money. Why don't you consider spending just a bit at Muktinath? See the shoes on them, on the way up to 12,000 feet, to care for the temple?
