Csoma de Koros

Whenever possible, I like to use these pages to acknowledge the contributions of Westerners who gave their lives to the preservation and transplantation of Tibetan Buddhism in this and the previous centuries. In this regard, one figure towers over all the rest: the Hungarian wanderer Csoma de Koros (his tomb in Darjeeling pictured above). Don Croner has a site which offers a good introduction:
