I wholeheartedly endorse and encourage any legitimate efforts to revive Buddhism in Mongolia. Having personally examined the finances of the "Mongolian Buddhist Revival Project" sponsored by Alyce Zeoli ("Jetsunma"), and administered in Mongolia by Thomas Fry ("Konchog Norbu"), during the period of time when I was the interim Chief Operating Officer of Kunzang Palyul Choling, I cannot in good conscience endorse their effort as appropriately managed.
As an alternative, I would direct persons wishing to offer financial assistance to contact Glenn Mullin, who has an international reputation for honesty and effectiveness, and is well connected in the region.
UPDATE: As of June 2009, the "Mongolian Buddhist Revival Project" has closed down all operations. In matters like this, if you really want to help, perhaps the safest course of action is to contact the Mongolian Buddhist temples in the U.S., and let them tell you what they really need.
