Travellers and Magicians

Last night, six years after its release, I finally managed to see Khyentse Norbu's film, Travellers and Magicians.

I know... I know... but I just found out about NetFlix.

This film is loosely based on the "magic horse" story that lamas love to tell. I first heard it myself in 1967, and for one reason or another recounted the version I remember in February of last year.

Apart from this, and from establishing Deki Yangzom's well-developed shoulders as classically erotic in a sort of... well... nostalgic sense, the film is a fun slice of Bhutan and definitely contributes to Gross National Happiness.

If you haven't seen it yet, now might be the time.
