Daily Tibetan Astrology: August 20, 2009

Chinese 1st day of 7th month, M-T-K 30th day of 6th month. Tiger, Kham, White 1. This is one of those peculiar Sino-Tibetan anomalies. In strictest Tibetan practice, this is Ox, Gin, Red 9. In strict Chinese practice this is as stated above (and according to the Wan Nien Li, a fire day, to boot). Still, lets call it Earth Tiger (who wants to deal with a lousy cow day?) Ordinarily, travel to east or west would be O.K., but not this time. If you're born in the Ox year, by all means travel south -- like to Nashville or something.

This is sojong, also a new moon day, so Shayamuni Buddha is emphasized. Also very good day for naga offerings.

Published every day at 00:01 港時間 but written in advance and auto-posted. See our Introduction to Daily Tibetan Astrology for background information. I love Nashville! Wow, I need to check your blog more often. This is my first chance to sit down and just read for a while. These little tidbits of information might make my decisions every day a little easier!
