Daily Tibetan Astrology: October 21, 2009

Chinese 4th, M-T-K 3rd. Fire-Snake, Khen, White 1; Solar Earth-Pig, Zon, Black 2.  Water-Water --> Water-Water, Mula, Purvashadha; Sukarma, Vanija. Victory Banner. Today is a zin phung day.

Today is the anniversary of Jigme Lingpa (1730-1798).

Today it would be appropriate to celebrate the birthday of Kyabje Tarthang Rinpoche.

For a variety of reasons today is probably the most auspicious day of the year to save the lives of creatures destined for death. So, live release? Today is definitely the day!

On this day in 1950, at precisely 8:10 a.m., the PLA crossed the border into Tibet, so in astrological terms, this is the "complete cycle of time." Major events are to be expected.

On a very personal note: I have enjoyed writing this blog, and meeting the various people I have met thereby. I send all of you very special thoughts today. May everything be exactly as you wish.
