A little over a year ago, what is known as the "United States" Jowo Rinpoche statue was installed at the Drikung Meditation Center, in Arlington, Massachusetts. You can read the story of this enterprise by clicking here. The statue is essentially a replica of the original, which miraculously, still survives in Tibet (seen here, below).
I think projects like this are very useful to everyone involved. The Drikung people now want to build a pilgrimage site to house the statue, somewhere in the Boston area, and are asking for help. To finance the venture, they have produced a series of treasure vases, which you can purchase for your home or center by clicking here. It is so amusing -- they call this "shopping for all sentient beings."
