Chinese 19th, M-T-K 19th. Tiger, Li, White 1. Today is baden, so no prayer flags. Note we skipped the Tibetan 18th this month. In strict Tibetan astrological practice, Decembers usually aren't the most auspicious times. The quickest fix I know, and the one most lamas wholeheartedly embrace, is the creation of images. This always used to be a problem, but nowadays, it is a snap. You can locate all sorts of high resolution images on the internet, upload them to a nearby Target (or someplace like that), and then have high quality, glossy photographic prints ready to pick up in about an hour or so. A quick trip to the local art shop for a pre-cut mat and a stock frame, and presto -- you've created an image. If you find a super, high-resolution image that you can really work with, then you can get those giclee prints made, and with those, you can even sew them into brocade, making a giclee tangkha. The other rapid remedy for doldrums is to cause the printing of dharma books, and that is also easily accomplished with a visit here. You have something better to do this weekend?
