Weekly Tibetan Astrology: January 31 - February 6, 2011

Note: Thursday marks the Lunar New Year of the Female Iron Rabbit, celebrated as such in China, Taiwan, Viet-Nam, and elsewhere. Please note that Tibetan New Year, or Losar will be celebrated on March 5, 2011. According to the Tibetan calendar, this week begins the twelfth or final month of the Year of the Iron Tiger.

Nevertheless, many Tibetan centers are offering some sort of New Year observances this week. Apart from that, the 22nd Annual Nyingma Monlam Chenmo, in Bodhgaya, commences on Thursday, and continues to the 12th.
