Breaking: Karmapa Charged by Corrupt Indian Officials

From India come breaking press reports: the Himachal Pradesh High Court has suddenly "reversed" its earlier decision not to charge the Karmapa in a 2011 currency case, and now presses for criminal proceedings against him.

The decision comes in the wake of Karmapa's wildly successful tour of the United States. Indian officials believe they can now pressure him into paying out huge sums to avoid prosecution, reckoning that he raised millions abroad.

What the Karmapa does or does not "raise" is, of course, a ridiculous notion placed in their heads by dirty politics.

Please join us in requesting the American government, at its most effective level, to carefully monitor the attempted extortion of a Tibetan Buddhist leader with millions of followers in the United States.

Is everyone in denial here?
It seems HH has a criminal case to answer to.

not denial, it's just that the details of this case point to corruption from some indian officials, not wrongdoing on the part of HH.
i dont think im the only one here who would say that although we stand firmly beside HH no matter what, we do not treat him as an infallible god. we DO, however, believe in his honesty and good heart and feel that the truth of the matter will turn out to show his innocence.

I suppose the quotes in the blogspot article from March 19, if authentic, would now imply that the Indians are stupid and don't know what the U.S. wants.
