NOTE: This week starts out with a balancing act and winds up with a rally of positive energy. By the weekend you should be in a very good frame of mind. If you want to get married this week, we'll forever hold our peace. Can't make any promises about rain (and the water element in general), except this: it is likely to make the news. This is a big week for the nagas, so really show them the love -- particularly since they are downright unhappy these days, and that may translate into bad economic news.
May 3, 2010 - Chinese 21st, M-T-K 20th. Dog, Li, Red 9. Good day to get things done but avoid petty arguments.
May 4, 2010 - Chinese 22nd, M-T-K 21st. Pig, Khon, White 1. Good day to get together with friends, but be careful of accidents, overexertion, and dangerous situations.
May 5, 2010 - Chinese 22nd, M-T-K 22nd. Pig, Khon, White 1. Note the doubled Chinese day. This is a very good day for naga offerings. I cannot emphasize that enough. Do (or sponsor) naga puja, lay on the naga vases, and call up the milkman for an extra delivery (do they still deliver milk anywhere?) Watch out for floods, tornados, storms, and so forth. Also watch out for people celebrating Cinco de Mayo with too much cerveza.
May 6, 2010 - Chinese 23rd, M-T-K 23rd. Mouse, Dwa, Black 2. This is another very good day for naga offerings. Whatever you do, strongly do and have no regrets.
May 7, 2010 - Chinese 24th, M-T-K 24th. Ox, Khen, Blue 3. Today is zin phung. Not a bad day to spend time with the opposite sex. Also a good day to make children happy.
May 8, 2010 - Chinese 25th, M-T-K 25th. Tiger, Kham, Green 4. This is Dakini Day. This is also a good day for naga offerings. This is an excellent day in every respect.
May 9, 2010 - Chinese 26th, M-T-K 26th. Rabbit, Gin, Yellow 5. Today is Mother's Day. Try to remember that all sentient beings have been your mother at one time or another. Excellent energies today.
Naga observations for the third month: Four good days and several bad days this month. The four very good (lunar) days are 5, 22, 23, and 25. The particularly bad (lunar) days are 4, 6, 8, 13, 15, 16, 18, 28.

A question if I may: Why make offerings to nagas? Why the nagas and not the other classes of beings like the asuras or garudas?
ReplyDeleteJust as there are fundamental energies that move in cyclical fashion through the human body, for example, so too are there fundamental energies that move in cyclical fashion throughout the rest of the natural world. So, certain days are considered to be particular to the nagas and certain days are not. That being said, some people will do the Cha Sum puja on naga days, which does encompass gandarvas, asuras, and so forth.
ReplyDeleteBesides the Cha Sum Puja as offering for Nagas, any other ways in which to offer.
