What a glorious day! I've just received word that Steven Spielberg plans a remake of the classic 1950 James Stewart film Harvey: the story of a man and his rabbit.
The rabbit in question is six feet tall. Despite his size, most people rather unaccountably find it difficult to see him.
The film is notable on several accounts -- it is the perhaps the most thoroughly Buddhist film ever released through Hollywood -- and the script contains this memorable line:
"You know, years ago, my mother used to say to me 'In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart, or oh so pleasant.' Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me."
So very true.
