David Carradine, 1936-2009

David Carradine, dead in the Swissotel Nai Lert Park in Bangkok, of accidental strangulation.

I knew the man personally, and I am profoundly sad to hear of this. He was very generous in supporting Tibetan Buddhist causes. Let us remember this about him, above anything else.

We are all the victims of our own desires, and truly, the only remedy is to come to know the nature of mind by coming to know the nature of mind.

  1. The accomplishments of a lifetime outweigh the manner of a death. David Carradine's karma continues in his contributions to introducing so many people to Buddhism, Taoism, and the philosophical/spiritual side of martial arts.

  3. From Tara's Heart rainbow light shines forth, throughout the six realms and the bardo, enveloping the deceased ones - wherever they are - purifying their karma and infusing them with Tara's radiant blessing. Their forms become brilliant spheres of light and dissolve into Tara's heart-mind - a realm beyond the cycles of suffering, a realm of absolute purity and bliss. Om Tare Tam Soha.
