Nourishing the Early Bird

One of our very favorite sites, earlytibet.com, has begun an important series of posts on the early history of Dzogchen, and you can read these by firmly clicking here.

I would like to see them delve into the oft-repeated assertion that Dzogchen is disguised Daoism. Then I would like to see them delve into the oft-repeated assertion that Daoism is disguised Dzogchen. You know, people who make those assertions might as well also assert that the Book of Mormon is a treasure text, and Joseph Smith a terton, because the same sort of syllogistic thinking applies.

Actually, Dzogchen is its own explanation, but scholars like to be scholastic and debaters like to debate.
